Kinsey Aragon

For those of you who have talked with Kinsey, and were expecting her to answer the scheduling phones as she has done for the last 15 years, she has left CBC in support of her family moving to another state.  She will be missed as we transition from her outstanding services, and we wish her all the best in her new endeavors.

Sam Kline

Has been with CBC since 2004, dedicating her professional skills and friendly demeanor as appointment scheduler, contract liaison, sales/marketing and other office support.  Kinsey’s background, including a degree in Communications from California State University Fullerton, helps our clients with timely and professional responses to their inquiries and appointment requests.

California Building Consultants, LLC was formed in 2006 when several highly experienced, successful and decorated inspectors combined their knowledge, education and experience to provide a comprehensive property inspection and consulting firm.  With nearly 40 years of combined professional inspection experience between them, along with many additional decades of related construction experience, the firm excelled at providing thorough and timely professional inspecting services using state of the art reporting capabilities.  Since 2008, the principal inspector and owner of CBC has been Sam Kline.  For larger or specialized properties, CBC collaborates with other experienced and certified inspectors.

There are NO requirements to be a Real Estate or Property Inspector in the State of California.  Anyone could literally start a business as an inspector, overnight.  Being a Property Inspector is a very specialized profession and requires a great depth of knowledge on all components of a building to perform a thorough Property Inspection.  When you hire an Inspector you are actually paying for their knowledge, education and experience.  The old saying that “you get what you pay for” really does apply to our profession.

CBC Inspectors are highly educated and credentialed in the Property Inspection profession. CBC's principal inspector, Sam Kline is a Master CREIA Inspector, the highest designation given by the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA). There are less than seventy Inspectors in the state with this designation, with only four in the Orange County Chapter.  Additionally, most of our Inspectors are full Certified Inspector Members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

CREIA and ASHI are non-profit professional trade associations dedicated to the education of member inspectors and to serving the best interest of the public. Each association requires the passing of a competency exam, which tests the inspector’s knowledge in all of the disciplines required to perform a complete and thorough property inspection.  CREIA and ASHI members are also required to maintain annual continuing education units, and adherence to a Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

We do not install equipment or make repairs; we are a professional inspection and consulting firm and “Building Safety Is Our Business”.

A Master CREIA Inspector (MCI), has personally performed thousands of inspections on residential and commercial properties. Sam has been in the inspection industry since 2002, and brings 20 years experience in building scale models for homebuilders, architects, engineers, developers and trial attorneys, which included models that detailed construction methods and defects.  Sam has been the principal inspector and owner of CBC since 2008.

Sam is also an ASHI Certified Inspector Member.  Both CREIA (state) and ASHI (national) are non-profit professional trade associations dedicated to the education of member inspectors and to serving the best interest of the public.  Sam is also a CREIA Certified Trainer, helping other inspectors become properly trained and certified.  Sam’s support and leadership to CREIA include two past terms as Treasurer for the Orange County Chapter.

Sam graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  Sam’s education also included coursework from the Anderson Graduate School of Management, UCLA.
